A well-established fabrication of offshore sea-fastening assemblies

We offer a complete in-house service for the design and fabrication of equipment sea-fastenings and grillages.

Comprehensive vessel assessments

Our sea-fastening services include comprehensive structural assessments of vessel deck strength, motion assessments and full engagement with Marine Warranty Surveyors to ensure compliance with insurance requirements. Once the assessment is complete, we provide a budget and timescale that we adhere to.

Ability to handle large volumes of heavy components

A major challenge across the offshore renewables sector is the transport and installation of large numbers of extremely heavy components. Design of suitable sea-fastenings is essential to ensure the safe transfer of such components from the loadout port to the offshore installation site, with the final arrangement determined by a combination of vessel motions, the weather restrictions in place, deck layout and the overall vessel strength.

Commitment to world-class specialist service

The team specialises in the engineering and supply of products necessary for securing cargo in a marine environment and are committed to offering world-class service from our in-house capability. Our innovative solutions are designed to offer full flexibility and allow a range of components to be secured.

MRE offers a complete in-house service for the structural assessment, design and fabrication of sea-fastenings and grillages for the offshore wind sector.
